POSITION: Accounting Assistant
HOURS & LOCATION OF POSITION: Administrative Offices, 401 S, Capitol Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933.
This position is full time.
Join Capital Area District Libraries’ accounting department that supports 13-branches and serves a population of over 240,000 residents located in Ingham County, Michigan. We are looking for a friendly, hardworking person who will help us advance the library’s mission of empowering diverse communities to learn, imagine and connect.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a 4-year business degree from an accredited college with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred. At least 3 years of relevant job experience performing accounting functions, preferably as a public sector employee.
NATURE OF WORK:
The Accounting Assistant performs accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting functions. This person reviews and analyzes transactions, reconciles balance sheet accounts and participates in month and year end closing activities.
