The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) has issued an Emergency Toolbox to help state and local governments face a myriad of reporting issues during the COVID-19 situation. This session will explore both familiar and obscure GASB guidance, and provide governments with a roadmap for finding answers to their accounting and reporting questions. In addition, the AICPA has provided guidance for auditors who are conducting all or a portion of their work remotely. Both auditors and auditees will learn what to expect, and the best practices needed to ensure a smooth audit process in turbulent times.
