Finance Director, Charter Twp of Harrison

The Charter Township of Harrison is seeking a Finance Director. The position, under the general supervision of the Township Clerk, provides direction and management for financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, benefits administration, special assessments, budgeting, auditing and oversight of the Township’s financial operations. Implements and maintains accounting procedures to comply with State regulations and Township ordinances and resolutions. This is a “hands-on” position where multi-tasking and attendance at board meetings are required.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field. CPA, MPA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5 years progressively responsible experience including demonstrated management capabilities.
  • Direct experience in a municipality or equivalent environment and a thorough knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of municipal finance required.
  • Harrison Township will provide a comprehensive benefit package with a salary ranging from $80,000-100,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
