Session Description:
MGFOA invites you to join a focused discussion on reforecasting governmental budgets in our uncertain COVID-19 economy, including how to address the impact of alternative economic scenarios when projecting major tax categories, non-tax revenues and expenditures – along with perspectives on emerging best practices for budgeting within this challenging new environment.

About the Speakers:
Michael Nadol is a Managing Director at PFM and president of PFM Group Consulting LLC, specializing in public sector financial sustainability and workforce strategies. He is a former Deputy Mayor for Finance for the City and County of Philadelphia, PA, and has served as an adviser to the GFOA Standing Committee on Governmental Budgeting and Fiscal Policy nationally.

Vieen Leung is a Senior Managing Consultant in PFM’s consulting practice, playing lead roles in projects where the firm provides budget analysis and develops multi-year plans to help municipal governments overcome their fiscal challenges. Prior to joining PFM, Vieen served in the Bureau of the Budget and Management Research in the City of Baltimore, MD.
